Anthony Elliott is an artist based in Bexhill UK. His work utlises rotation to move, observe, travel distance from rotating sculpture, printing large abstract circuitry producing sound, to rotating video 360°, creating complex animated sound/video objects. Combinations are inherent in his practice exploring signal composition by designing and building electronic systems that are adaptable with current and unforeseen processes producing sound/visual constructions. These constructions are built upon the principles of participation with line, sound, shape and form to learn within an art system leaving enough freedom without planning or preparation. For the future he is developing video hardware to allow new ways of creating three-dimensional art objects.
He has shown his work internationally, received the Giga Hertz Award at ZKM Music and Acoustics in Germany to develop sculpture sound printing, collaborated with Magz Hall building an electronic system in upper tree in Yorkshire Sculpture Park on Tree Radio, which was nominated for the British Composer Awards, researched experimental media tools at Signal Culture in Owego, New York, delivered workshops with Radio Mind in the Victoria and Albert Museum and collaborated with Nadia Perrotta on Sound Crystal Image, a creative educational project with the local community.
